I've made a list and put it on the website If anyone is interested it is here www.awakenings-em.co.uk/past_events.htmMy records and memories of 2005 and 2006 are less than perfect, so if anyone sees any mistakes let me know Also there was one on 28th October 2006 that I couldn't get to as I already had a gig, I have it as EITHER Vietgrove, SkinMechanix & HyperEx Machina OR Skinmechanix, N Phay & HyperEx Machina, does anyone who went remember which it was? The final date of this year is the 80th Awakenings, another 4 years and we might get to 100

Nice! Very good to see this list. An impressive list of concerts - and thanks to all involved for keeping this running.

Very impressive list, I would like to see some info on who were the original Awakenings team members and how its progressed to todays Awakenings team, how much involvement did John Sherwood have before canning it?

John came up with the name and idea that anyone could do an Awakenings anywhere they wanted as he been doing AmbientLive events, sort of annually, since around 2001, and one of these was in US, which is how I ended up organising the first two in Nottingham This was all discussed/planned on a long defunct forum called something like Online Music World, I seem to recall Ross ‘Second Thought’ was involved along with some other folks who like him were students based in Leed which is most likely how it came to be at the Brudenell in 2005 and 6 as there was a hope it might attract students Unfortunately I think only Ross actually played, the other two local folk who were due to play, Ganzfeld and Ochre, never showed up or pulled out, and it didn’t manage to attract the locals John stopped doing it just before the last gig of 2006 as he had some kind of falling out with the management of the Brudenell, so I ended up organising another one in Nottingham I’m not sure how, but I ended up trying to find it a new home, maybe because I was organising stuff like HJJ as well as helping out with the website. Dave B tried to get me to put it on in Burton on several occasions but I wasn’t convinced a school would work, but eventually gave in and went to see Paget and decided to give it a go

That's a great record of all the Awakenings, very impressive. The first one I went to was at the Brudenell in Leeds and have been to over 90% of all the gigs listed and seen many great acts. It's great that it's still going strong and testament to the hard work of all the team who put the gigs on.
A memorable gig I attended at the Brudenall was when Brendan Pollard changed a Mellotron tape frame halfway through his set - amazing!
Also, when Terje played at Branston using his joystick controller whilst lying down amongst the chairs in the audience - brilliant!
