The Space Lady is coming to Nottingham! We love her! If you're not already familiar with her work, she started playing her music on the streets of San Francisco in the 80s doing her own versions of pop songs accompanied by her Casio keyboard. Fains are Nick Jonah Davis and Johanna Cormack. Nick is a very fine solo guitarist and he collaborates with violinist Johanna, as an electric instrumental duo who opened the 2015 Supersonic Festival in a performance described as ‘stunning’ and ‘an unexpected delight.’ Listen here:
Modulator ESP produces improvised experimental soundscapes using synthesizers, sampling, sequencing, looping and processing to create strange worlds of sound somewhere between '70s space music, noise and dark ambient drone.
