The Church of Sound presents... ant (Andrew Page & Tanya Byrne) Ross Baker Myoptik Sludge Lord Thursday 24th July Lee Rosy's Tea Shop 17 Broad Street Nottingham £2 OTD 7:30 pm ant (Andrew Page & Tanya Byrne) Andrew Page aka raxil4 and Tanya Byrne perform dark droney stuff with Andy on electronics and Tanya on bass Ross Baker uses sounds and sounds and tapes to create a sonic spacetime wardrobe of noise. This will be his last solo gig as he prepares to launch a new collaborative endeavour, International Debris, in the new year. Expect drones of the past morphing into chunks of the future. Myoptik has been cutting an idiosyncratic figure in the world of music, radio, writing, comedy and events promotion since the last century. Preferring to embrace the random and expressive over the perfect and the staid Myoptik is not easy to pindown or tidy up. A lifetime of jams, collaborations and live performances inform his refreshing and sometimes obtuse take on electronic sound. Sludge Lord will be sludgey monosynth drones & noise from Jez Creek and Scott Bradley £2 OTD www.facebook.com/events/647709585319103/
