Just over a month away now.......
Just to remind everyone here's a little explanation about exactly who The Cosmic Smokers are....
Cosmic Smokers was created in 2004 at the suggestion of Dave Law of SMD as an EM “supergroup”. The members of Airsculpture combined forces with Grant Middleton and Paul Nagle to rehearse and record music, culminating in a concert at the National Space Centre. In 2007 the group reconvened, this time without Adrian Beasley. Andy Bloyce appeared on guitar in this formation establishing the concept of a fluid lineup.2014 sees the Smokers forming again to play at the Awakenings series of concerts. This time the full Airsculpture trio will be present along with Paul Nagle. The remaining members will be announced closer to the date; they certainly represent an exciting addition to the Cosmic Smokers.

Do you know if they are reheasing for it Phil or will it be a complete improv?

Dunno. But they will probably struggle to get everyone together before the gig. They may be swapping ideas online, or will just turn up and go for it.

Really looking forward to this. It'll be good to see Mick playing live again.
Think this may be more of a rocker affair specially if Steve's on drums :-)

I am impressed that you are able to stage concerts in the middle of the summer. All the best wishes for the concert.

I think that given the choice that July, and in particular school hols, isn't the ideal time, but we are driven by the availability of the hall (can't use it during exam time), and this year also by the World Cup. On the plus side we wont have to worry about the tempermemtal heating system. Unless it's on. I've got an early start for this one so I'll see you all later if you're going. :-)
