Belated gig report: I had an excellent time and think I played pretty well. Audience was small but perfectly formed It was as a support to a friend of mine who I used to play with in a band. I emailed a guy who came to my last Nottingham gig and he brought two friends, they all said they thoroughly enjoyed my set. The guy who'd seen me before bought 4 CDs, 'cos he had 2 from last time and his mate bought 2 as well. Funnily enough one of his friends was originally from Chesterfield and knows Glenn, who runs the studio where Steve and I recorded the darkness between - small world It was really hard work getting home from work, packing up, dragging everything up 2 flights of stairs and setting up, but the gig went well so it was all worth it, then we all had a great chat afterwards and everyone helped get the gear downstairs too which was really nice. I have to say I really enjoyed the actual performing bit and tried to get a bit of everything in, from ambient soundscapes to rubyconesque sequencing to more '80s styled TD. Using the Drehbank with the MS6 was a bit of a revelation, it is so much better now I can tweak the sounds on the fly.
