On the recording credits for last weeks gig, who's Trevor? I lovingly refer to him as "The Omega Syndicates Official Bootlegger" ;D

I used Trev's audience recording for the applause on the second set, 'cos Phil forgot to record it I think 'forgot' is a bit harsh. I successfully pressed pause. For about 60 mins or so ;D and the difference is?

At least I get the chance to enjoy the music. First two sets were spot on excellent. The Air Sculpture set I picked up some out of place sounds AND the sequencers were way to loud. Must have blasted the auditorium. Still wasn't terrible though.

More great music from 3 great sets. Airsculpture was very loud. The start of The Grey Encounter set was very brooding and dark. I loved it.

OK, I have heard the VT. I know that this is not like being there at all, but at least I get some idea of what happened. The first two acts are very good, with some very interesting sounds and sequencers going. As for AirSculpture I thought the first atmospheric section was good, and that some of the parts into the set was ok. But it sure was an odd choice of sequencer line and sound for the sequencer. Since it is running more or less through the whole set, at least you could expect them to have good sound, but not this time. I compared this concert with the previous apperance of AS at Awakenings, remembering that the comments at the time was a bit to and fro, but also remembering that I thought it was a good one, especially after their last Hampshire Jam which I thought was a disaster. Well, to my utter surprise the previous Awakening gig with AS was many leagues better than this last gig - by far. I have no idea what the lads are up to these days. I think they must have gotten tired of the whole thing. Sad, as they used to deliver so much good music, and I am sure they still can. Anyway, 2 good sets out of 3 is a good concert by my standards.

It has been fascinating reading the comments about Airsculpture here, and comparing them to those comments from last time.
I suspected that the last concert was not going to go down well with some people almost before the last note was finished.
I think your opinion on the concert probably depends on your “EM preferences”. I suspect that those EM followers who also like more dance orientated music might enjoy the Airsculpture set more than others.
I personally prefer uptemp, varied stuff, so actually enjoyed it.
I actually found the VT more enjoyable than the concert, as live it was way too loud and you lost the quiet parts at bit. I can hear the mistakes and issues with it but have played it a number of times and am still enjoying it. Whilst flawed perhaps, it certainly was not awful. But there again, if you improvise live, it is not gonna be perfect is it.
Saying that, Jez & Norman’s set was my favourite.

On the night both myself and my friend thought it was excellent, but playing back this makes me realise just how good it was. I really hope that someday this will get a proper full CD release" cheers Paul

They are all worthy of a commercial release as are many of the Awakenings gigs.
