Feedback recieved by email from Geoff, an attendee on Saturday: I would like to tell you that I REALLY ENJOYED the concert on Saturday from all the performers!!! Excellent. It was my first time at 'The Awakenings', and definately not my last, well done EVERYONE!!!!! That is good news Jez, it really was a good night and all the sets were top notch. I said to Phil that in my opinion the sets were worthy of a physical release and I genuinely mean that. Although I had only been once before there must have been EM artists there I don't recognise, Zoeitis for one. Well done to everyone concerned for a magical night, and as for Norman's change of film Maureen and I thoroughly enjoyed it and it can be purchased to buy for about £4.

They've made comments on Airsculpture on FB but not on the other acts.

Let us see if they are at any future Awakenings.

Matthew's been before, he came to see Ian Boddy Now I've had time to recover, my thoughts on the gig are that: 1. Phil and Xan's set was really nice, liked both the weird and spacey bits and the sequences and solo finale 2. I really enjoyed playing the set with Norman, it was great fun and I think it worked quite well, even with the replacement visuals 3. I enjoyed AirSculpture, though I had to keep turning them down a bit as they were on a mission to be as LOUD as POSSIBLE, if I was going to be critical, I would have liked more dynamics and subtlety, but we'd had plenty of that already from TGE and Norman and I, so a set of driving sequences was not so bad (and it was nowhere near as bad as the NSC gig Neil mentioned) Also, it was really nice that we had around 60 paying folks including the VTs

Ok Matthew only seems to come for established big name acts then! Hope you get some of the first timers who came for the March gig making the effort to come to future Awakenings. 60 paying is great but was that mainly because Airsculpture were playing? I suppose if there is no big named act then that figure drops?

It's unlikely as Julie is in the middle of moving I believe.

It was a very enjoyable night, even though I was not feeling A1. (Still feeling rough TBH).
Xan & Phil were very good. Some very interesting sounds. Norman & Jez were excellent. Really seemed to play well together. Airsculpture obviously came to sequence. Whilst I enjoyed it, it seemed to lack subtlety. Some of the overlays were a bit samey, and I think they were a bit too loud (perhaps I am getting old).
I think all 3 sets will be worth listening to again, and it was definitely worth turning up in body.

Having done the editing on the sets last night I'm hoping to get the VT finished and sent out tonight, and it sounds better than it did in the room without the coloration from the PA

It's unlikely as Julie is in the middle of moving I believe. Having met her briefly, I can understand why that might be a problem. I would imagine moving anything that size would take some considerable effort.
