Really enjoyed last night.
I wasn't sure we were going to be able to make it because of the weather. Fortunately the weather behaved itself, so we had a pleasant drive there and back.
The music was excellent.
Pleased Mart could join with Jez. It would have been a shame if the evening had to be cancelled.
Fortunately it wasn't and they both came up with a great set of music. I was interested in what Mart was doing with the Bass.
It's always a pleasure to hear Nick play, he certainly has a unique style. The second part of his set was stunning. It's quite rare to see an Acoustic guitar being used being used within all the electronics. The first person to use one was Lee who played with Mick a couple of years ago.
Jez with Phil was a great way to finish off (almost) the evening. A great balance of atmos and sequencing (the same with Jez and Mart). Toward the end they were was almost in Poland mode with PPG sounds flying from the Blofeld.
I was very interested to see how Jez was using the Tenori-on. It was triggering the Vintage Pro rack and was syncing the two Evolvers. What was doing the percussion, I wonder.
The evening was ended with a great Encore with all the guy's playing. What resulted was a very nice, laid back piece. Sometimes it can be hit and miss, but this time it was definitely a hit.
It's always fun to meet up with your pals and catch up. It was nice to see Neil and Brendan again after a long time.
See you all next time.

I pretty much agree with all the previous comments.
I thought it would be enjoyable, but everyone played a blinder.
Jez&Martyn were spot on. Nick was just great....I was fascinated by what he was doing. Jez and Phil have created an excellent sound, (Their new CD is well worth a listen). Very impressed. Just when you think you have got Jez pidgeon holed, he proves you wrong.
Great to se everyone again. Did not realise how much I missed these concerts.

I may have to get one of those Tenor-on Orange's myself. I take it the Tenori-on can be a multi-midi channel sequencer.

Correction I think it will. Think I'd till rather have the hardware version. I think some places are still selling it, other than that's there's always Ebay.

But the main thing is that Awakenings continues, Hope I can attend more in the future.

Fortunately it wasn't and they both came up with a great set of music. I was interested in what Mart was doing with the Bass. I had the Bass plugged through the R3 as I normally do, playing notes on the bass triggers the notes and FX in the R3, unfortunately I couldnt hear what I was doing for part of the set and a bit of a confession to make that some way through I must have caught the button which changes the audio input from the back line in; to the vocoder mic, so basically I was playing along and not sounding anything I think it may have been 10-15 mins or so before I realised after i'd tried all sorts to hear myself and even turned everything up to full and still couldnt hear it. Like I said, mr Creek is the master carrier and so I dont think it effected what we did to a lot of degree

I suppose if i'd been solo I would have realised a lot sooner, but as you know when your playing your actually hearing what you are doing in your head so you think whats in your head is coming out of your gear ;D

I'll certainly be interested in hearing the VT to find out where it dropped out and when I realised and then came back in
