Norman, don't worry about it I can't help worrying about it! I want Awakenings to do well! You got people in from outside of the scene? Excellent work, if so! How many ppl did you get in? We always enjoyed playing there, it's a great little room. Excellent. Based on yr set I saw in leeds, you rock when you play together. Is it not worth trying a Mon or Tues as a one-off, maybe, as it's free (I think you said it was free? I'm not sure) I

I could do with m-tron M-tron is crap. most of the samples have been auto-tuned, several of the sample sets are incomplete (IE, some of the more strident notes are removed, and adjacent noted used to fill in) - yer better off with a soft-sampler an a set of decent samples. Srsly, save yer money, or if you were going to get a crax0r3d version, save yer time.

I can't help worrying about it! I want Awakenings to do well! as do we all well there were 18 in the audience, 11 of whom hadn't been to an Awakenings before, including my boss who brought her family, 4 Polish colleagues of my friend Pete (who told me they were extremely impressed with our set ;D) a couple who were at my last Notts gig and another guy who came down from Manchester. Got no-one from local advertising though it's got quite a nice stage, but it's gone downhill a bit since you played there Thanks It sounded like he now wants us to pay so it really wouldn't be worth it

I like that picture a lot too, John looking 'seriously' at the computer
the screen and synth giving off light, and the lightstreet shades of dark in the background, with the cables, etc

"...and the way the two lighter colored rectangles in the background somehow echo the rectangles on the screen, almost Rothko-esque in its simplicity" "...then the triple-echo of the window on the screen, then the actual window-frame, with yet another window-frame in the distance seen through it, somehow conveys the infinite continuity of our fallible condition, humanity, death, all is there"
