nice looking venue most of my gear is pretty old and some of it's pretty rare, so maybe not that easy to hire, but thinking about it I may be able to replicate most of it with software, a compromise, but maybe one worth making. Let me think about it what software is that then ?

this was at the climax of the set, at the end of the Daliesque solo only 2 or 3 bum notes, I might put it online next week So you didn't just play with your teeth & nose?

Let me think about it what software is that then ? Well there's some Arturia stuff for the Prophet 5 and VS and Korg do a Wavestation and a Polysix which might stand in for some of my Mono/Poly sounds and I could get the M-Tron for tron stuff and the PPG Wave thing as a stand in for the Microwave and I suppose it might do if I had a really powerful laptop and a really good soundcard. but you knew that

Jez, 15 minutes into Set 1 and even with the lower volume there is some snap/crackle and pop. I'll make you copies and maybe some sort of audio software could remove the distortion/clipping. Some really good music played by us though! Well done Bugger, I hate digital recording, you have to be so careful with your levels. I think I may have to invest in a compressor/limiter for future live recording Try having your recording level set "very low" as there is no noise on digital. When we are improvising we play the loudest thing we're likely to play, then turn the recording level well below 0db. On our recordings I generally have to bump up the volume, but there's no distortion when it's done that way. but it's hard to take it out once it's there (although I have found ways of masking it quite well). Also cassette backup is useful. or If Trevor was there, ask him if he bootlegged it (no real need to ask... If he was there, it was bootlegged). I know this info won't do much good now, but handy for future reference.
