Can't make it either, unfortunately.
Good luck with it, I hope you get the audience you need to continue playing there.

I wish I could get to the gig and support you but I had a phone call from the garage about half an hour ago informing me that the head gasket has gone on my car and it's unlikely I'll get it back before the weekend.
£500+ just before xmas, thats just fuc**ng great. I'll be glad to see the end of 2006.

I haven't actually got enough money to make it down, as it turns out. I've taken £17 total at work today, I don't think that'll buy enough diesel to get me there, let alone there and back again. WTF @ the retail trade. Have a good gig, and I hope you get a decent local crowd in. My apologies.

Norman, don't worry about it We didn't get a huge crowd in, but it was a slightly different one Apart from the lugging all the gear up the stairs, which was a killer, that was a most excellent evening. I really enjoyed both our sets and didn't want to stop playing. I think I can safely say we went down really well too John did a mostly ambient set, ending with his usual crowd pleasing keyboard playing antics The search for a venue begins again as I won't be going back there, landlord wasn't pleased about the low turnout for a Saturday, so would only let me have a Monday or Tuesday, which isn't really worth it imo

Should have a good recording of the first set, but the second set might have gone into the red a bit as I turned us up a bit and forgot to check the recording levels.
Was really happy with the new PA amp and mixer too, not bad for £160 for both
