Hashtronaut “Event One” (Free download here, 2007) 1 track, 45:42 mins The internet is a wonderful place. Case in point is the new release by Hashtronaut, a fantastic track almost 46 minutes long, and it’s FREE to anyone with a relatively fast modem by clicking on the link above (if the link doesn’t work, copy and paste this into your browser: www.archive.org/details/Event_One). So there really is no excuse for not getting this “album,” though such a word has less meaning every day as people listen on their PCs and their iPods. Whatever you want to call the format, the music is top drawer. Think Radio Massacre International at the top of their game. After a spacey intro for a few minutes the sequencers get totally cooking, find the sweet spot, and it’s off to the races. It really is a spectacular display of terrific Teutonics. Though I enjoyed The Lambda Variant and Bottle Universe, I was wholly unprepared for the sheer brilliance of Event One. Hashtronaut tells me he was going through some very difficult personal times and had taken several months off of music, and he considers this a rebirth of sorts, a new beginning. Indeed. Unless you still have a 56K modem, if you are an EM fan there is absolutely no reason you shouldn’t all be storming to load up Hashy’s server and grab this baby immediately. © 2007 Phil Derby / Electroambient Space

Being better than Radio Massacre International at the top of their game ;D I know - i was well chuffed at that. Thats a high bar. He also asked for an interview, says he will mail some questions over...never done one so that will be weird...
Seriously, I have no idea what is next, but thats the best bit....
Possible ideas being bandied around in my sketch book icluded 'Imaginary Movie Scores' and finally getting around to re-releasing Surface and III

Considering you gave it away for free i'm surprised you haven't had more feedback.

I dont think many listeners (on archive at least) leave many reviews as a rule anyway, but i do get the odd e-mail, and since E1 have sold about 20 discs via the site shop (lv & bu)

btw Hashy you know Phil's favourite EM band is RMI (more than TD if I remember what he once wrote on emforum) so that's quite a comment Being better than Radio Massacre International at the top of their game ;D I know - i was well chuffed at that.
