Yes another great evening. Andy Preston pulled of an incredible set using just 2 synths, the music was made up of 3 parts and even the silence in between those parts fitted in with what he was doing. Jez Creek started his set as an audience member, playing his OP1 from a chair four rows back, a subtle start and built very well when he went to join the rest of his gear to continue a very nice hour of music to a somewhat strange video. Berhard hit the stage after a long and troubled journey from Germany and seemed to start off quite nervously in my opinion, he soon lost that nerviousness and his set developed into a nice hour of sequence driven goodness, on a personnal note, i dont think multiple VST's work in that room compared to hardware synths and the sound seems to get swamped a little, but hats off to Bernard for entertaining us with what he had to use, and a big thank you for coming all the way from Germany to play for us at Burton.

Enjoyable evening with some great music. Slightly different from previous sets from Andy, being broken down to distinct sections and as usual beautifully matching the imagery. And even a bit of a sequency bit creeping in for the final section. Very nice. I was a bit surprised at Jez's mellowness for his set. No VCS3 to lead him astray this time. Really nicely put together to a conversation provoking film. Looking forward to listening to this one again. And finally another different style from Bernhard. In fact possibly a set tailored to Awakenings being very much in the direction of more standard berlin school than some of his more rhythmic material. But still great stuff. We even had our very first complaint that it was way too warm in the room. Can't say I'm not disappointed at the physical turnout, but more so for the musicains than for myself. But massive thanks to those who came, both physically and virtually.

I enjoyed both Andy and Bernhard's sets, both interesting in different ways, with nice accompanying visuals.
I had fun playing my set, although it seemed very quiet at the start which was slightly perturbing
Deryn enjoyed her first Awakenings
It was nice to see Marion again after so many years
Bernhard was a lovely chap and it was a shame he didn't arrive 'til Saturday as it meant we didn't get time to jam

It was a nice comfortable volume, sometimes if its too loud it looses the sonic characteristics of the sounds and just becomes a mush
