I am home, had a good night's sleep and is back in business. I want to thank everyone who showed up, had a hand in the all-daye in one way or another, and seeing the brilliant photos brings up a lot of good memories of a great day.

Finally have a moment to sit down and put something up on this 'ere forum thingy.
This was my very first Awakenings attendance and I have to say that it was more than worth the journey, so much so that I have promised myself I will attend at least one or two next year as a spectator.
It was a great day all round. Excellent music, interesting people and nice atmosphere. I think Jez, Phil and Dave did an excellent job of organisation and whilst for them it was probably a fraught day, for those of us watching, it was pure enjoyment and entertainment.
I enjoyed every act, and was inspired by several of them, not least the insane Stylophone ending to the evening - so bonkers it was brilliant!!!
It was good to finally meet in the flesh a number of names that I have become acquainted with on forums and on Facebook, including Andy Pickford, Paul Nagle, Peter Challoner, Kevin Guthrie and Kim Hadley. It was also nice to meet up with and be able to chat to folk such as Ian Catherall, Andy Condon, Duncan Goddard and of course, Mr. Creek and Mr. Booth.
To all the musos, well done, it was a brilliant day for this egit from Norfolk.
And I got a free Kawai K5m with 9 data cards earlier in the day!!!

Regarding the VT, with 6 acts it's going to be a big job, and I've been away from home for work, so it won't be out before the weekend.
I'll probably stagger it and do the afternoon first, then the evening

As slow as RapidShare has been staggering or even individually is great. And Jez you definately have earned many kudos for ALL your hard work. Thank you.

although to be fair, it's the acts that make the gig and I can't really take responsibility for the line-up as it was really just down to who could do it My new catchphrase for gig organisation 'quit yakking and get packing'
