Well, that was hard work, it seems I'm still recovering from jet lag and was really spaced out but it was good fun. Not the greatest of turnouts, but then I guess that's what happens when you don't have any 'big' names, but as it turned out I think we all did ourselves proud and if you didn't attend you missed a good one

Enjoyed this evenings entertainment. 2 really good sets from Pete and the Cosmonauts. I was a little distracted by thoughts of what to do in our set though. I look forward to hearing them both again in a slightly more relaxed frame of mind :-)
I wasn't sure about our set, whilst playing i find it difficult to 'hear' the whole thing. But I've watched most of the video this morning and am quite pleased with the result. A very (very) dark opening 15 mins, and then some bits here and there that really came together nicely. It even tied in with the visuals in places, which was more luck than any plan. And I really like what the lads did with the lighting during our set, dimming the lights as each picture changed and then matching the lights to the colour of the next slide, very effective.
Yes, a small crowd, but very appreciative. They seemed to all enjoy their evening, which is the main thing. I know I did.

A great evenings entertainment, excellent sets from Cosmonaut Transfer and Pete Tedstone. The highlight for me though was Jez and Phils set. I thought it was brilliant from start to finish. IMO one of the best sets of this years Awakenings. For those who missed it then you missed a great evening. Awakenings proves you don't have to have "big" names to have great music, and if you want great music then Awakenings is the place to be.

Was great to meet you David (and Nick), glad you enjoyed it and I enjoyed your set! Enjoyed Peter's too, even though I was feeling extremely spaced out and very tired Was winding Phil up saying that I might doze off during our set and that he'd have to keep playing, but a last minute cup of coffee saved him
