I'll be there.
I'm actually staying over this time at the Holiday Inn Express. How do you get to it from the A38?

left out of Paget, follow the road to the lights, go right, and I think you have to pass it a little way before you turn left onto the side road then onto the car park.
***You dont have to go onto the main A38***

well obviously me back again first, although Xan would have been in the HIe 15 mins before I got home so he's won this week ;D Another great night again and nice chatting to everyone and meeting Mr Phobos David T, thanks for introducing yourself David it was a pleasure meeting you and I will look forward to your live appearance at the end of the year Musically I couldnt fault tonight, three great sets Peter Challenor played a very smooth and relaxing set with just enough live playing to keep me happy, and some great compositions and nice controlled transitions between each track. Spiral Eye, again some lovely compositions still relaxing but eering a little harder at times and some nice ambient guitar added to the feel beautifully. If I had to have one tincey wincy minute little niggle it would be that, on one of the tracks it built up nicely, carried on building and I would have liked a guitar power chord followed by a screeming solo, but thats just me ;D Ian Boddy was just brilliant, excellent use of the gear he had set up and kept me captivated, sometimes it was so intense it was hard going listening to it (if you catch my drift) and if he can have a laptop with ableton live running anyone can ;D 3 months now til the next one but theres always RMI eh! A very good evening indeed.
Both of Pete's sets were great. I was a little worried that they'd be too alike but there was plenty of variety of pace and content in both. He can veer into the 'nicey, nicey' side of ambient at times for me, but both sets kept the styles morphing as they went. Much more sequencing than previous sets. Very nice.
My initial reaction to Ian's set was that it was one of the best sets I've seen at Awakenings, and i still think so now after a little reflection. It was very, very good.

It was very, very good. it was a very nice mix of experimental bits and sequences and reminded me more of Arc than Ian's more composed output, which was nice not sure if it was the best Awakenings ever but it was up there

I've come to the conclusion that EM gigs don't hold the appeal to me anymore that they used to.
What with work and family life i'm finding it hard to motivate myself to drive a 3hr round trip to watch/listen to the gigs.
Will continue to support Awakenings though by buying the VT.
Will defo be at RMI in Mcr.
