Good concert all round.
Jez's set was at times "a thing of beauty".
Parallel Sun - not my 'thing' but well played and very enjoyable.
Paul Nagel - again not my 'thing' but thoroughly enjoyed it.
The jam was rather good IMHO.

An enjoyable evening's entertainment. I really thought Jez's set was excellent with lots of evolving sounds/effects & interspersed with some interesting sequences. A very well balanced superb set imho. I was really drawn into the performance. Parallel Sun were excellent once again & sounded very professional with many solid sounds & well crafted tracks. I thought maybe the drum sounds were a little high in the mix on occasions & swamped some of the solo playing but could be to do with where i was sitting. I enjoyed Pauls set to a point but not what i was anticipating when i saw he had the EMS Synthi AKS. He played an excellent fluid solo leadline towards the end of his set but for me just wasn't loud enough in the mix. The jam at the end worked out well. I didn't buy any CDs as ive got a holiday & car insurance to pay for although i couldnt resist buying some bargain jack leads from Brendan. Cheers mate! My only gripe on the night was on the way back home & found they'd closed the M6 for road works which meant a lengthy detour.

Yep, it was another fine evening of great music and chat.
Jez's set was certainly his best yet. The sequencing was brilliant.
I thought Parallel Sun's performance was even better than last year. Look forward to hearing the new album and the VT of course.
I've been a big fan of Paul Nagle for years and his set didn't disappoint. He is in my opinion very underated as a musician and composer.
He is certainly the master of the Cirklon, what he did with it was amazing.
The encore also didn't disappoint.
We also got caught in the M6 balls up. Total lack of signage. Had to turn round at the Stafford turnoff and had to come off again. Added 30 mins to the journey.
Despite that a great evening.

Hmm, thats 3 people that went the long way round. Contrary to popular belief the closure was signposted towards the end of the A50 and a diversion via the A500 up past Newcastle was in place, which was actually shorter than the usual route and added only about 5 mins to the journey. I'll put the inattention down to a relaxing evening shall I ? ;D

They had closed the M42 as well and we got a bit lost due to confusing diversion signs.
