New release just out on Umbra - The Quiet Labyrinth front cover Back Cover. I really enjoyed creating this. I was completely caught by the last sound on the Veils, Shadows disc and explored it in a different way here. Led into all sorts of places with some music started quite some time ago feeling right at home.... It is a follow on from the pevious disc and I loved the sense of continuity - made me think about DVD length stuff as a possibility. As with the other Umbra releases - available from Oophoi at www.deeplistenings.it

does The Quiet Labyrinth sound similiar to Strange Attractor"?

hard question to answer Ben, I think it has as dark a sound in places but perhaps spread out over a full length CD rather than in a short blast.
'Deep Intake of Breath' was one of the parts where an earlier recording mixed in very nicely - it is meant to portray the effect of a leap off the edge of the precipice, the sort of 'oh sh.it' realization, and whereas the other tracks have an almost 'peaceful' or dreamy sound, I find it has a similar tension to 'strange attractor' ...That said the others have their strangeness and unexpected changes too, even for me in that at one mix down the various sounds sort of merged and created something new and later on I could not work out how I had done it.

really great album, very dark, nice variation in sounds, in particular liked 'The Wings of a Precipice'
